Darrin's passion for finance and economics started in college, where he was drawn to classes that emphasized the importance of applying financial affairs to real-world situations. He has since developed expertise in investments, portfolio management, tax strategies, estate planning, and insurance strategies for families and individuals.
Darrin earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation after passing the most challenging exam in the Investment Advisor Professional's designation options. The course curriculum covers eight subjects in depth, including Professional Conduct & Regulations, Fundamental Financial Planning, Tax Planning, Risk Management & Insurance Planning, Estate Planning, Investment Planning, Retirement Savings & Income Planning, and Psychology of Financial Planning.
In his personal life, Darrin enjoys various outdoor activities, including Jeeping, camping, tuna fishing, and USPSA competition matches. He has been happily married to his wife, Mary Ann, for almost 30 years, and they have two daughters and one son. The Santos family also has two twin huskies named Shilo and Levi.
